Squatchi Bigfoot Shoe Sizer for Little Feet Review

Squatchi kid foot sizer is an easy to use at home foot and shoe sizer. Squatchi kid foot sizer is as accurate as the metal ones used in stores. Squatchi is made from high impact polystyrene plastic, which is unbreakable! Squatchi makes it easy to measure your child’s shoe size when it is most convenient for you.

I don’t know about you and your child, but Bunny HATES the metal shoe sizers you find in the store. Bunny loves shoes and loves shoe shopping, but trying to get her to stand still while I measure her foot on the metal shoe sizers in the store is difficult, if not impossible. Bunny doesn’t even want to go near those! Our Squatchi is a bright pink color and not cold to the touch. Bunny loves measuring her foot on Squatchi. I can get a more accurate sizing on Squatchi than I can using the metal sizers in the store.

Squatchi comes with a cute little sticker and instructions
Instructions on how to use

I am a bit overzealous when it comes to making sure Bunny is wearing the right size shoe. With Squatchi I do not need to make a special trip to the shoe store to make sure Bunny is in the right size. I can measure Bunny’s foot as many times as my heart desires. I can also measure Bunny’s shoes to see if they are the right size. Sometimes the sizing rubs off the shoe and I have no idea which size they are and if they still fit Bunny’s feet. Squatchi gives this mama piece of mind.

Squatchi comes in seven colors, white, blue, green, orange, red, pink and purple. Squatchi is not only a shoe and foot sizer, it is also a keepsake. You can mark where your child’s foot is and write the date. If you continue to do this until your child outgrows Squatchi, you will have a neat keepsake! Squatchi has a hole at the top which allows you to hang it on the wall. You can display Squatchi in your child’s room! Squatchi measures toddler size two up to youth size five, typically ages one to eleven.

This video shows you How to use SquatchiSquatchi is very easy to use. Simply place your child’s heel against the curved end, the heel stop, of the Squatchi while bearing weight on their feet and make sure the toes are lying flat. Be sure to measure both feet as one foot is typically bigger than the other.

You can buy Squatchi for $19.99 on amazon.com,  walmart.com, toysrus.com, parentfaves.com, thegrommet.com, and in store or online at buy buy baby.

18 Week Update

18 weeks! This pregnancy is almost half over! Time is passing quickly, but it also seems to move so slowly. I am feeling the baby move a lot, but I can’t wait until I can really feel the baby all day every day. I can’t wait for My Love and Bunny to feel the baby move. I love being pregnant. I want to hurry up and get to about 22 weeks then slow down time. Feeling the baby move is the best part about being pregnant. I can’t wait to find out the gender of this baby! I am pretty sure he is a he, but I could be wrong. I want to know so we can finally decide on a name or two for a boy. If he is a she, we already know what her name will be.

I am still struggling to eat, which is so weird for me. When I was pregnant with Bunny I ate everything. I mean everything! I was hungry ALL the time and would eat just about anything, once I was in the second trimester. With this pregnancy, nothing really sounds good. And what does sound good today, won’t sound good tomorrow. I still crave salad, but not the salad at my house haha. Salad from a restaurant is much tastier. I still haven’t gained much, if any weight. I was 20 pounds over my normal, pre Bunny weight before I got pregnant this time. I know I am okay weight wise, but I can’t help but worry.

Other than that, I am feeling great and loving being pregnant! I don’t have too many aches and pains yet and I love feeling the baby move!

Wee Nurture Milkmade Nursing Cover Review

Nursing in public was very difficult for me in the beginning. Everything was uncovered while I tried to get the hang of nursing. I remember being so nervous the first time Bunny and I nursed in public. Trying to adjust the nursing cover while getting Bunny latched properly, all the while trying to make sure I wasn’t flashing anyone. Then Bunny and I would get sweaty because, lets face it, two warm bodies under what is essentially a blanket equals one hot mess. I would feel horrible every time my sweet tiny baby was done nursing and had a sweaty head. With this baby, I know I will not be using the traditional cover everything nursing cover. I have recently discovered Milkmade Nursing Cover and wish I had known about this when Bunny was an infant!

Milkmade Nursing Cover is a stylish nursing cover that doubles as a burp cloth. Milkmade Nursing Cover does not cover or enclose your baby’s head, but does keep you covered while nursing.

To use Milkmade Nursing Cover you simple put it on your shoulder like you would any burp cloth. You then hold the side with your hand while you adjust your clothing to free your breast. You can do this all while Milkmade Nursing Cover is keeping you covered. Once you are ready to nurse, you simply lift the flap and latch baby. You can cover baby’s face if you would like, or you can tuck the flap up and in the pocket to allow baby’s face to be free. Once you are done nursing you can easily move baby away from your breast while keeping your breast covered. My favorite part is you can burp baby while you are still covered. With my old nursing cover I hated having to adjust everything while Bunny was waiting to be burped. There is no huge blanket like cloth in the way with Milkmade Nursing Cover.

I have rather large breasts, while nursing Bunny I am an H cup. I sure hope I stay the same size when this baby starts nursing. Milkmade Nursing Cover fits me and covers me very well. Milkmade Nursing Cover also covers my friend who is a nice B cup. Milkmade Nursing Cover is designed to fit women of all sizes. Rest assured, this is really a one size fits all.

I can not stress how much I love Milkmade Nursing Cover and the fact that is does not cover my baby’s head. I really dreaded nursing in public when it was very hot outside. I wanted to be discreet for my benefit but did not want to overheat my baby. It was an internal struggle as to weather I should cover myself or should I let Bunny be comfortable when nursing. I am so thrilled to have found Milkmade Nursing Cover. I will no longer have to choose between my comfort and my baby’s comfort. Now we can both be comfortable while nursing in public.

Milkmade Nursing Cover has a handy pocket that is big enough for a pacifier, a nipple shield or even your nursing pad! I know I always wore a nursing pad and never knew where to put it when Bunny was nursing. With Milkmade Nursing Cover’s pocket, I will never lose my breast pad again! I always hated searching for that silly pad when I was done nursing.

I seriously love Milkmade Nursing Cover so much. This would make a GREAT baby shower gift. It is super small and easy to keep in your diaper bag. You don’t need a bunch of extra room for your nursing cover. I think every nursing mom should have at least one of these, if not one for every diaper bag.

Milkmade Nursing Cover is nice and thick, made of very soft material. It is very sturdy and looks like it can hold up to the test of time. I love how long Milkmade Nursing Cover is. When it is draped over your shoulder you don’t have to worry about baby barf getting on the back side of your shirt. Milkmade Nursing Cover  covers part of your back. Milkmade Nursing Cover is two products in one!

Milkmade Nursing Cover currently comes in two designs, stripe and chevron.  You can buy Milkmade Nursing Cover online for $47.

17 week update

17 weeks! It feels like I have been pregnant for a long time, yet I am not even half way there! I have been feeling pretty good recently. I am still hungry and eating more! No real cravings, they change every few days. The only consistent craving is salad. Any kind of salad. I LOVE salad! I am also craving food someone else makes 🙂 Not having to prepare food is the best gift ever!

My pelvis has been achy recently. When I was pregnant with Bunny my pelvis was crazy and hurt me occasionally. I could always lay down and have my hips pop back into place. If that didn’t work, My Love would pull on my legs and that would help. With the baby, however, since the day I got pregnant I have been feeling my pelvis more. My midwife suggested I see a chiropractor, and I did just that today. I feel good, not 100% better, but definitely a little better. I have never gone to a chiropractor before and did not realize you are supposed to go at least two times a month while pregnant. At least, that is what my friends have said they did. Who knew! The main difference I have noticed is I am feeling my baby move more. The past few days I haven’t felt as much movement from my little baby, but it is pretty early in my pregnancy to be feeling any movement. I do have a doppler at home and have been checking on the baby’s heart beat every day, so I know the baby is doing well. Since I have seen the chiropractor, I have felt my baby move much more than I have in the past few days. I guess the chiropractic care is working! Hopefully seeing a chiropractor, along with my midwife, will help this baby to be in the right position.

I am loving being pregnant! I love how my body looks when I am pregnant, I love feeling the baby move. I really truly LOVE being pregnant. Bunny and I are nursing three to four times a day. I love nursing Bunny. I hope I can tandem nurse. Bunny will wean when she is ready, and I know I will be sad whenever that day comes. If she weans before the baby is here, great. If she weans after the baby is born, great. Before I got pregnant with Bunny, I never thought I would nurse a baby this long, but I am so glad I decided to let her self wean. I am so excited for the birth of this baby and for Bunny to be a big sister. I can’t wait for My Love and Bunny to be able to feel the baby move!

Balboa Baby Sling Review and Giveaway

Bunny loves to be carried and I love to carry her! With my growing belly this is getting harder to do for long periods of time. The Balboa Baby Sling allows me to carry Bunny without growing weary.

Balboa Baby Sling is a soft, one size, adjustable baby sling. Balboa Baby Sling currently comes in thirteen different patterns/colors. Balboa Baby Sling can be adjusted from size xsmall (18″ tail) to size xlarge (6″ tail). This is great for my growing pregnant and soon to be postpartum body.
Balboa Baby Sling has a very convenient front pocket. You can put your phone, a burp rag, baby’s pacifier or favorite and more in the pocket. Balboa Baby Sling shoulder area is padded, which makes for a comfortable ride for mommy or daddy. Balboa Baby Sling is machine washable, which is great! When baby spits up on the sling, you can easily wash it in your washing machine. Balboa Baby Sling fits babies from 8 pounds up to 35 pounds. Bunny is currently around 25 pounds and still fits perfectly.

You can wear your Balboa Baby Sling with your baby in four different positions. All of these are great for smaller babies. Since I do not currently have a tiny baby, I am using a three month old size baby doll to demonstrate the carries. Once my bun in the oven is here, I will definitely update you all as to how much I love using my Balboa Baby Sling with a newborn.
The first position is the cuddle style which allows you to cuddle baby close to you.

Please keep in mind I am using a doll. Your baby’s airway should be clear at all times. Do not let your baby smash its face against your body like the doll is doing here. Make sure to wrap the outer elastic trim around your baby’s back and neck for maximum support.

The second position is the cradle style which would be great for nursing on the go!

The third position is the front carry style which allows baby to see the world while being close to you.

Again, this is a doll and the head is not in the proper position. Please make sure your baby’s head is supported. Baby’s legs can be bent and crossed or or stretched out to one side.

The fourth position is the hip carry style which is what Bunny and I use. This style is the best for toddlers.

Bunny loves to have the sling over her shoulders, up around her neck.
Balboa Baby has a video for each carry which shows you how to properly fit the sling to you and hold your baby safely.
Sometimes Bunny likes to walk, and sometimes she likes to be carried. Balboa Baby Sling is very portable and fits easily in a diaper bag. Balboa Baby Sling is not bulky unlike some other soft structured carries. Balboa Baby Sling is easy to put on and take off.
With my growing belly I can no longer use a soft structured carried like Ergo, Lillebaby, and Tula, ones that buckle around the waist. Balboa Baby Sling allows me to carry Bunny while pregnant. Wraps are great but take too much time and effort to get Bunny in and out of. Balboa Baby Sling is simple and easy to use. When Bunny wants to run around and play or walk, I can easily and quickly get her out of my Balboa Baby Sling. When Bunny wants to be held again, I can easily and quickly, and painlessly, put her back in my Balboa Baby Sling. I did not try a sling with Bunny when she was an infant, but I can see how using a sling with a smaller baby would be beneficial.

You can buy your Balboa Baby Sling online for $60. You can also enter for a chance to win one here!

16 Week Update

I am 16 weeks! Only 4 more weeks until we find out if this baby is a boy, like I think he is! I am so excited. I don’t care either way, girl or boy is a okay with me! I am feeling a LOT better. The nausea is almost non existent, and I am finally hungry! Yay! Hopefully I will start gaining some weight. Bunny is doing great. She knows not to bounce on mama any more, and to be careful around my belly. She knows where the baby is on my body, and that the baby is in my womb. We haven’t talked about the birth yet, but we have plenty of time for that! I think she is too little to really understand it. We are planning on a natural birth, with a labor tub. I am not opposed to giving birth in the tub, but I am not adamant that I must give birth in the tub.
I am absolutely thrilled with my midwives. They are wonderful. I love my OBGYN as well, I have no complaints about her. She is the best OBGYN I have had, and I love her nurse! I am very excited to have this baby! I didn’t have any labor with Bunny, she was an immediate c-section. I am VERY excited to labor naturally!
